The eventual ATP and WTA singles champions for the 2023 Australian Open were Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka. This was Djokovic's 22nd Grand Slam title, tying him with Rafael Nadal for the most men's singles Grand Slam titles of all time. Whereas for Belursian Aryna Sabalenka this was her first singles Grand Slam title.
