Latest news on the International Energy Agency (IEA), a Paris-based autonomous intergovernmental organisation that was established in 1974 in the aftermath of the 1973 oil crisis. The IEA provides policy recommendations, analysis and data on the entire global energy sector, covering all fuels and technologies, as well as energy efficiency, innovation, and critical minerals.
The IEA has 31 member countries and 11 association countries, representing 75% of global energy demand. The member countries are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States. The association countries are Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, South Africa, Ukraine, Singapore, Thailand, Egypt and Morocco.
