About our Texas Rangers News
Latest news on the Texas Rangers, a professional baseball team based in Dallas, Texas and part of the American League’s West Division. Established in 1961 the Rangers were initially based in Washington D.C. and played as the Washington Senators. Ten years after their establishment and following a number of poor financial decisions the club were forced to relocate to Arlington, Texas in 1971 and were subsequently renamed the Texas Rangers.
Before 2023 the Rangers were one of the few current MLB sides who were yet to win a World Series championship. They had reached the coveted final on two occasions in 2010 and 2011 but ultimately fell short. In the 2023 season the Rangers finally broke their World Series duck where they came up against the Arizona Diamondbacks and triumphed in five games. The team's colours are blue, red, and white, and the side’s logo is a red T on a white baseball.
Throughout their 60 year history the Rangers have called a number of different stadiums their home with the side most recently moving to Globe Life Field in 2020. Before their move after the 2019 season, the Rangers would play their home games at Globe Life Park in Arlington and relocated due to plans for the stadium to be developed into a football and soccer facility.
