About our Vince McMahon news

Latest news on Vince McMahon, an American businessman, media proprietor, and professional wrestling promoter. He is the majority owner and executive chairman of WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling company, having previously served as its chairman and CEO for 40 years. He is also the founder and owner of Alpha Entertainment, which he established in 2017 to oversee the 2020 revival of the XFL American football league.

Vince McMahon recently announced plans to sell a controlling stake in WWE to Endeavor in a merger with mixed martial arts firm UFC. He denied sexual misconduct allegations led to the sale of WWE to Endeavor Group.

McMahon has agreed to pay the company more than $17 million to reimburse costs of an internal investigation into his misconduct scandal. He said “I’ve made mistakes both personally and professionally through my 50-year career. I have owned up to every single one of them and then moved on”. The merger was announced on Monday, April 3, 2023, as part of a deal with Endeavor Group Holdings Inc, the parent of the popular UFC mixed martial arts franchise. The deal values WWE at $9.3 billion and UFC at $12.1 billion, creating a $21.4 billion sports entertainment company.
